Abstract | For two years, a $500,000 scintillation counter built by Indian scientists has been sitting un-used at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia IL. The reason: US sanctions, imposed after India's latest nuclear weapons tests, have prevented the team that built the device from coming to the US to test and install it. Last week three Indian scientists finally arrived to work on the equipment. |
